Aquaculture Department of Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science (IAAS) was established in 1995. The department has workable laboratory and fish farm with hatchery facility. Fish farm has four earthen ponds of 400 m2 each, 5 cement walled pond (3 ponds of 450 m2 each and 2 ponds of 250 m2 each), 29 earthen ponds of 100-m2 size, and 18 cemented tanks of 24 m2 size. These facilities are basically for teaching and research for student and faculties. The department offers two general courses for B. Sc. Ag., three general courses for B. V. Sc. & A. H., and our Elective courses for B. Sc. Ag. Department also runs post graduate degree in M Sc Aquaculture.
